Jacksons Fencing had the exciting opportunity to participate in FutureScape 2024, the ultimate garden centre and landscaping expo held at the ExCeL London. As part of the Outdoor Living & Wellness Expo, Jacksons’ innovative Jaksun® solar fence panels took a prominent spot in the "Garden of the Future," a highly anticipated show garden that exemplifies cutting-edge garden design and sustainable technology.
Created by the talented team at Utopia Landscapes, led by Managing Director Adam Stewart, the Garden of the Future became one of the show’s standout features. With a vision to highlight the integration of modern landscape products into functional, beautiful, and eco-friendly spaces, Utopia Landscapes brought together a range of suppliers and dedicated collaborators who shared a passion for progressive garden design. Key partners included Rick Ford of Gardens by Rick Ford, Carl Jones of CJ Landscaping, Mike Lote of MJL Garden Design, and planting designer Adam Phoenix. Together, they transformed the vision into an impressive, immersive space showcasing possibilities for future landscapes.
The Garden of the Future was not only a visual delight but also a functional demonstration of innovative products. Jacksons’ Jaksun® solar fence panels installed on Venetian Hit and Miss panels and Jakposts (slotted wooden fence posts) were integrated seamlessly into the design, highlighting the fusion of form and function that these panels provide. Beyond fencing, the garden included a range of features that promoted modern outdoor living and sustainability: a sleek, modern aluminium garden room with a green roof, a serene hot tub, and an outdoor dining area that encouraged relaxation and connection with nature.
The thoughtfully planned landscape included modern pathways, stunning feature trees, and lush plantings, creating a harmonious blend of natural beauty and cutting-edge technology. Each element showcased the potential of modern landscaping to be both stylish and sustainable, encouraging visitors to think about how technology and natural design can co-exist beautifully.
FutureScape 2024 and the Garden of the Future served as a vibrant platform to display the strength of collaboration and the value of forward-thinking in landscape design. Jacksons Fencing was proud to contribute to this vision, underscoring our commitment to innovation in fencing and our enthusiasm for projects that push the boundaries of what a garden can be.
Adam Stewart, managing director of Utopia Landscapes commented, “The Garden was an opportunity to show how important collaboration is for the future of landscaping by allowing us to demonstrate and share our skillsets to help improve the industry,”
Nick Bishenden, Senior Marketing Manager at Jacksons Fencing, commented, “Adam and the team did an excellent job of highlighting the importance of thoughtful garden design and the role of experienced installers, planters and landscapers. As modern, innovative products like our Jaksun® Solar fence panels become more popular in gardens, careful planning is essential to ensure they blend seamlessly with the surroundings. This garden demonstrated this perfectly—not only with our solar fence panels but also by showcasing how other contemporary features can be beautifully integrated, resulting in a stunning, cohesive space”.
