The Best Business Awards judging panel release the following comments with the award.  “It is great to hear of a family business developing and evolving its products and services through the generations. From fencing, it has expanded into the security market and overseas to make the most of global markets.   Its financial performance is strong and research company Plimsoll ranked Jacksons as the eighth largest (by sales) fencing company and the thirteenth most profitable in the UK.  It has put a huge amount of resources into its Gate Safe campaign to prevent automated gate accidents.  A great business with a great future.”

Companies competing for the Best Large Business Award are required to demonstrate evidence of outstanding products coupled with great people, innovative marketing and a standard of customer service to be proud of.  The judges were also looking for a company with a track record for impressive financial performance, balanced with a heightened awareness of CSR (corporate social responsibility).
