About the panel
The Jaksun® Solar Fence Panel revolutionises the capabilities of a garden fence. Combine it with any of our 0.60m* high fence panels to create a garden fence with good aesthetics and the functionality of energy production, through the implementation of conventional solar panels.
*other panel height combinations are available but you will generally need planning permission for anything over two metres.
Panel Specification
Our Jaksun Solar panel is installed like any other fence panel we manufacture. The panels must be used with our slotted Jakpost, that conceals and accommodates the cables which connect each panel to one another. When ordering online, use our standard or heavy duty Jakposts, and we will make sure all the posts are compatible with the Jaksun panel when checking and processing your quote.
We highly recommend our Approved Installers for the installation of our fences. However, individuals who possess the necessary competence and capability to install our standard fence systems will find it feasible to do so themselves.
After the installation of our Jaksun solar fence panels, it will need to be connected to a mains / inverter system (that we do not provide), by a MCS certified / qualified Solar PV installer that is also a member of a CPS from microgeneration technology, such as NICEIC.

The solar component integrated into the fence is MCS certified.
Jaksun Solar Fence Panels are designed to be installed in our slotted Jakposts. The Jakposts must be modified slightly, with the top part of the post centre being removed. The ends of solar fence runs should utilise intermediate posts, but each end will almost certainly need an infill piece attaching. The cables can be neatly secured inside the post slot, down to ground level.
Gravel boards need to be used when panels are in contact with the ground as part of the 25 year Jakcure® guarantee. More details can be found on our Jakcure T&Cs page.
Capping is essential as this will help conceal the cables that are hidden within the top of the slotted posts. The capping also needs to be modified slightly to include a channel for the cabling.
